d Factorize x 2 − 7 x + 12 of expression as given there

Question 1: Factorize x 2 − 7 x + 12

Question 1: Factorize x 2 − 7 x + 12

Factorization exercises —

Given  types of mathematical expressions  is;

To factorize it we make two parts of the term -7x in a way that if two parts are added together they will give us -7x — and if we multiply these two parts , their product will be 12x^2.

i-e -7x can be divided into -3x and -4x such that ;

1- when added i-e;

(-3x)+(-4x) = -3x-4x=-7x

2- when multiplied such that;

(-3x)(-4x) = 12x

So to factorize the type of mathematical expression we can write;

taking x common from first two terms and -4 from last two terms;

Can be written as;

Now (x-3) can be taken as common;
